Planning an event is no small task. To that end we have put together several frequently asked questions to assist you in determining if Gallery O on H is the right venue for you. And, of course, please feel free to contact us with any additional questions you may have.
How do I hold a date?
In order to secure your desired date, you must submit a signed contract and a deposit of 50% of the rental rate. There are no exceptions for holding rental dates.
Are any furnishings included with my rental?
- 5 free-standing wine barrels
- 3 folding service tables (Q2 6’ and Q1 8’)
Does the Gallery rent the painted tables and chairs?
The painted tables and chairs in the Garage are available for rental and may be used anywhere on the property during the event.
Items must be cleaned and returned to the Garage by the end of the rental.
What other rental items are available from the Gallery?
- Q:12 6’ folding banquet tables
- Commercial Ice (per commercial bucket)
- Q:4 Free standing Propane heaters
- Pool table
- Dumpster Fee
Can the Courtyard be tented?
Yes, the upper and lower Courtyard can be tented. (Please refer to our preferred vendor listing.)
Is there a private room for the Bride or VIP use?
There is a large, private room and bathroom for exclusive use the Client on the second floor of the West Gallery.
Can items in the Courtyard be moved, repositioned?
The Arbor, plants, planters or objects supporting plants may not be moved or altered.
Where can guests park?
- Gallery O on H does not have parking facilities.
- Valet services are available through a private outside contractor (H Street Valet) and are not included in your contract.
- The Gallery will contract on behalf of the Client with the valet services; pricing will be determined by the number of parking places required. This cost will be billed to the Client.
Can the artwork be changed?
- None of the artwork located anywhere in the venue may be moved, covered or substituted.
- Artwork hung or exhibited throughout the property will be consistent with the mission/vision of the Gallery.
What are the policies about alcohol?
- Clients must provide their own alcohol licensing for the day of the event.
- This can be best accomplished through the caterer or a licensed mobile bar tending company.
- Clients may not supply their own alcoholic beverages.
- Self service bars are NOT allowed and alcohol cannot be sold to guests nor served to minors.
Do I get my security deposit back?
Security deposits will be returned 14 days after an event less any damage fees.
What decorations are and are not permitted?
- Nothing may be hung, pasted, painted or printed on any of the walls. No balloons, paper or metallic confetti, glitter/streamers are permitted
- All decorations must be removed by the end of your rental without leaving damage.
Will I be able to bring decorations to the venue in advance of my event?
Decorations, rentals, beverages or alcohol and/or equipment may only be on site during the hours of your rental.
Are candles allowed?
Open flames of any kind are NOT allowed on the venue.
Sparklers may ONLY be used on the Courtyard in non-tented areas.
What can I do with flowers after my event?
If you do not want to dispose of your flowers at the end of the event, our vendor listing has the contact information for a nonprofit organization’s free service that will pick up and repurpose floral items for distribution to nursing homes, women’s shelters etc.
Do I need an event planner?
Clients are required to hire a professional event planner who will be on site for the pre-event walk-thru, rehearsal and through final closure of the event.
The event planner is responsible for supervising the vendors, monitoring your timeline and troubleshooting any problems before/and during the event.
Is Day-of insurance required?
Yes, a Day-of insurance coverage is required per the terms of your Rental Contract.
Is security included?
The Gallery will contract for security personnel (on behalf of the Client) with our professional security provider based on the anticipated guest count per the Client’s anticipated guest count.
Can my guests smoke on the property?
Gallery O on H is a smoke-free property. Tobacco products and electronic cigarettes are NOT permitted.

Are Children allowed?
Children are allowed but are not permitted to wander about the venue unsupervised.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, per approval by the Venue and if so, only in the Courtyard and the Garage.
